Allyson Armstrong

I am an outdoor person and care about the land.  Outdoors I look for found objects to incorporate in various processes and media that are eco-friendly.  In Southeast Arizona, where I am based, there are plenty of opportunities to use my photography background in collages and mixed media pieces including ink, paper, and wood.

My approach to art often incorporates architecture and interior design.  June 2021 culminated three years of restoration and reinvention of a historic building in Douglas, AZ.  Research, planning, collaboration, and renovation were exhausting and rewarding.  Creating something visual and useful from something ignored and unappreciated gives meaning to my creativity.

Dale Armstrong

Tucson-based photographer, Dale Armstrong has been developing as a photographer for the last 40+ years.  Originally a geologist/hydrogeologist Dale has used his photographic skills for documentary work that aligned with scientific investigations required during his career.

Dale’s evolution into artistic photography is a natural spin-off of detailed documentary photography.  His work has progressed into macro, landscape, sports, wildlife, and street photography; seeing the world through the lens.  Dale prefers black and white photography because it presents images without the incumbrances of color allowing the viewer to see details and forms first.
